Only 6 months after Mowing, Michael Nau delivers his second solo LP, Some Twist. The 12 tracker is awash in elements of Cotton Jones and Page France, the two bands that Nau fronts, and the Americana-tinged chamber pop numbers make for a mellow, uplifting listen. From the gentle piano-and-fuzz arrangement of "Good Thing" to the laid-back charm (and more fuzz) of "Light That Ever," Some Twist once again proves Nau's mastery of songwriting and arrangement. Other standouts include "I Root," "I Wonder," and "How You're so for Real."
